Crohn’s disease is a common autoimmune disorder in which the body’s own defenses attack the intestinal walls, creating painful ulcers. Crohn’s is also closely associated with colon cancer. Although no one knows the exact causes of Crohn’s, recent research shows that diet can play an important role in prevention and treatment.
