Imelda Mary Higham (b. 1974), professionally known as Imelda May, is an Irish singer, songwriter and musician who plays the bodhrán, guitar, bass guitar and tambourine. She describes her music as “rockabilly.”

I love her. She refers to her sound as rockabilly, but to me her style is all her own.

I agree, Matt. ‘Rockabilly’ makes me think of Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. Imelda May is a different kind of rocker.
