Ippen Shonin: Sorrow

down to this day, this very instant,

Ippen Shōnin (1234–1289, also known as Zuien) was a Japanese Buddhist itinerant preacher (hijiri) who founded the Ji-shū (“Time sect”) branch of Pure Land Buddhism.
