Richard Hoffman: Uvalde, TX, 5/24/2022

Another.

No not another, not

that cushion

of a word.

Yesterday

with my granddaughter, 3:

we lay on our bellies

on the warm pavement

watching ants.

Look look

that one’s carrying something.

That his dead

brother he

bringing him home.
