Having been vegan for almost five years now, I can attest to the health benefits of veganism wholeheartedly. My entire life I have suffered (I do not use the word “suffered” lightly) from various allergies and sinus afflictions. I could have been the poster child for “sickly kid.” Two or three times each year, seemingly for my whole life, I would go to the Dr. for sinus infections (inflammation) and get shots, steroids, etc. Those sinus inflammations have disappeared. This singular benefit, to me, has been amazing. I still have seasonal pollen allergies but far less severe than in the past.
I could preach about other beneficial changes that have occurred as results of MY vegan diet but sometimes one benefit is enough. I can’t bear to speak of the horrible treatment the food industry inflicts on animals. I can’t.

Thanks for sharing this, Leo. My story is similar. I suffered from Crohn’s Disease most of my life. When I became vegan at the age of 56, the symptoms disappeared and have not returned. I am now 64. — Mike
