Chris Pierce and Sunny War met through a mutual friend, the composer and producer Jared Faber who thought that the two accomplished musicians would hit it off. Pierce, War and Faber got together at Faber’s Silver Lake studio and immediately started creating the songs that ultimately became their 2015 collection, “War & Pierce”. With beautiful guitar melodies, powerful storytelling and a strong sense of social justice, the group is creating music that combines folk, jazz, and blues in ways never heard before.
