Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light….
“Do not go gentle into that good night” is the most famous poem of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (1914–1953). Listening to this recording of the villanelle, posted by Don Yorty, we can easily understand why Thomas was a popular performer in Britain and America.
