Video: Meat Industry Reaction to New Cancer Guidelines

According to the World Health Organization, processed meat, such as bacon, ham, hot dogs, sausage, and lunchmeat, is now classified as a class 1 carcinogen, the highest designation. This finding supports the recommendations of other leading health organizations and raises troubling questions. Why do American schools still serve processed meat to our children? Why isn’t there a warning label on these foods as there is with tobacco products? And what is the meat industry’s response to the recommendation by health organizations to stop eating processed meat?

    Human beings were never intended to eat meat, otherwise they would eat raw meat. Just because we can cure it, smoke it, fry it, bake it, doesn’t mean that’s a good idea. Meat destroys the vascular system. When will people wake up?
