When are conservative Americans gonna get it? Free market fundamentalism and Christianity just don’t mix, and it has taken a weird and ’round about set of cultural historical circumstances to create a climate of opinion where they seem to mesh, or entail one another – a climate of opinion that can only be sustained by denial and hypocrisy.
