This is the type of creation which has me saying, ” How great are those humans” The story line is classical, “evil conquers, and finally the triumph of goodness;” of course I’m interested. However, I found myself focused on the way the artist conveyed the many characters, which (looked like) the use of minimal resources. as compared to more expensive commercial versions, The showing of many details, such as the variety of gazes, the different subtle movements of disgust and disapproval of the characters in this story of decadence. The artist took the story to such a point, that I felt happy when the triumph of goodness arrived. After that came all the many-colored flowers. And finally, the singer finally sang his song. Poor guy was being thrown out during the period of decadence as soon as he opened his mouth! BRAVO, for this fantastic creativity and it’s story telling. Such great humans!

What a dizzying array of gestures and fever-dream characters. Making it must have been a labor-intensive hoot. And the final turning of darkness into light nearly stunned my PC’s inner workings into stillness.
It also reminded me of a few faculty meetings I attended.

Hahahaha. Your faculty meetings were much more entertaining than mine.

To be serious about the piece, do we have a magic key to unlock our own “kingdom”?

I’m not sure, Jim. Poetry could be described as my “magic key.” How about you?

What are my magic keys to unlock the kingdom? Poetry, for sure, much music, and visual art that carries its own magic. I recently blundered into an art exhibit in a library. It featured the artist’s renditions of local green card holders: life size posters on easels of maybe a dozen with just their first names, brief bios, (one, for example, is a female refugee from Afghanistan) and realistic caricatures of their faces. Several had a butterfly instead of a face for reasons left to the people involved. I have never been more stunned in my life by the power of art, amidst the surrounding cruelty. Hopefully it is a key to understanding for viewers.
