David Huddle: Collusion

Ignorant high school bully that he is,
our fake President tweets out a nickname
for anyone who thwarts or critiques him--
those who care about decency or ethics
 
or just basic intelligence. Our fake
president is one notch above pond scum,
something with the heart of a rattlesnake,
brain of a slug, soul of a cheap handgun,
 
but his true talent is shameless lying--
the man (if we can call him that) could care
less about facts, photographs, or even 
what he said yesterday. Because my dear
 
brothers and sisters what he knows is that some 
of us want truth trashed, justice spat upon.
