Approaching the microphone in a small room, a young woman prepares to make the speech of her life. Desperate to find her voice in the wake of an ended relationship, she resorts to sharing any piece of advice she can muster. This short film is a beautiful evocation of a young woman discovering her own sense of self.

Afterword has won a number of awards, including the 2018  Jury Award at the Leeds Film Festival: “Whilst the story itself is poetic and so well crafted it rises ‘from the ashes of a love story’, toward layers that could be interpreted as societal or political commentary.”
