Trae Crowder is an American comedian and author. Crowder grew up in rural Celina, Tennessee, near the Kentucky border. He was the first person in his family to graduate from college. In an interview with Lawrence O’Donnell, Crowder attributed his liberal political views to the “abject poverty” of his family during his childhood in Tennessee.
