Farhadi was not blocked by Trump’s Muslim travel ban because the Court of Appeals had already blocked the implementation of the ban. Farhadi did not attend the Academy Awards in protest.
I am not a Trump fan, not in the least. That is all the more reason we must be careful not to overstate our claims. Trump can and will hang himself, he doesn’t our help, just our careful observation and propagation of the news.
