Edgar Russ, born in 1966 in Austria, is a master luthier who practices his craft in Cremona, Italy, a city with a rich musical history. Cremona was the home of some of the earliest and most renowned luthiers, such as Giuseppe Guarneri, Antonio Stradivari, and several members of the Amati family. Russ’s violins, violas, and cellos are admired by professional musicians around the world; for example, no less than five musicians of the famous Vienna Philharmonic (Wiener Philharmoniker) perform with his instruments.
The music is the Allegro from Sonata #2 by J.S. Bach.
