Alfred Hitchcock said, “Dialogue should simply be a sound among other sounds, just something that comes out of the mouths of people whose eyes tell the story in visual terms.” This short video essay, created by the anonymous cinephile Kogonada, explores Hitchcock’s obsession with eyes, looping each clip forward and backward creating an uncanny homage to the iconic filmmaker’s wry sense of humor.
