Elizabeth Romero: Wind

The evidence of wind is in the scarves

Of people waiting for the bus

The motion of the leaves, the communion

Of clouds, the coats of people walking, curtains, branches

Of trees.

The paper out of your hand, the hat

Off your head

And in the graveyard flowers and banners

Lift up over the dead.
