Video: David Lim’s animated tribute to HBO’s The Wire

From director, designer, and animator Elliot Lim comes an animated tribute to his “favorite show of all time,” HBO’s The Wire — a sentiment that he shares with President Obama, countless critics, and many casual TV viewers. The music is Way Down in the Hole, a gospel-and-blues-inspired song, written by Tom Waits for his 1987 album Frank’s Wild Years.
