Vanessa German: Blue House

a blue house with stars calling up the almost-evening sky. shining in the sunset her stars and her eyes. where were you when the sky went pink and long over hamilton avenue. on a porch somewhere i hope. a hot rose tea near your hip. a lover a friend to reach for your hand. we sing each other sweet when we can. when we can. touch the night sky with your eyes.
