A Public Sphere for Poetry, Politics, and Nature

Video: Persepolis author Marjane Satrapi

When not hard at work on a page of comic art, Marjane Satrapi lights up a cigarette and remembers how, due to the last forty years of constant war and political upheaval in her native Iran, no Iranian of her generation has lived anything like a “normal” life.

Thank you posting this nice video. I am Iranian and a big fan of Satrapi. I was stunned when I watched Perspolis, it was so much like my own life. BTW I have a blog where I post about non-political things from Iran focusing on people, culture, arts, nature, travel reports … with lots of photos. By having diverse topics it should give an interesting view into Iran and the Iranian society: http://theotheriran.com/tag/photos/
I hope you enjoy the posts.
